POSITION TITLE: Multimedia Coordinator
JOB CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM: Office of Communications
REPORTS TO: Head of Communications, secondary reporting to Digital, Brand and Marketing Manager
SCHEDULE: Full-time, 40 hours per week
PAY RANGE: $22-25 / hour Based on experience, education and qualifications.
Summary The Office of Communications at the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange seeks a full-time Multimedia Coordinator to support and enhance diocesan communications across parishes, schools, and ministries. This role is responsible for creating, editing, and managing multimedia content, including video, graphics, and digital communications, ensuring alignment with diocesan branding and mission.
Responsibilities Because all Diocese of Orange employees represent the Roman Catholic Church, they are expected to conduct themselves according to the goals and mission of the Church in performing their work.
Serve as a multimedia utility player for the Office of Communications.
Execute email marketing campaigns and track analytics.
Manage the storage and organization of diocesan photography and video assets.
Capture, edit, cut, and refine long‑form video footage optimized for social media in alignment with diocesan branding.
Design and edit engaging content for social media channels, websites, and other diocesan platforms.
Upload and manage content across digital accounts including YouTube and YouTube Shorts.
Operate camera and studio equipment as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, multimedia, or a related field.
Experience in video editing, social media management, and copywriting.
Proficiency with multimedia software such as Canva and Adobe Premiere Pro.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Commitment to the mission of the Catholic Church.
Preferred
Church or non‑profit experience.
Passion for or familiarity with Roman Catholic teachings and doctrine.
Work Conditions
The position primarily involves work in an office setting, requiring frequent use of standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, printers, credit card terminals, postage machines, and filing systems.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to support department programs, operational needs, or campus events.
Must be available to adjust the work schedule as needed to meet organizational deadlines, operational demands, ministry activities or special projects.
Regular interaction with students, staff, faculty, and visitors in a professional and faith‑based environment.
Some local travel may be required for meetings, trainings, or work‑related events.
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain seated for extended periods while performing administrative and computer‑based tasks.
Frequent walking, standing, and movement around the campus or office facilities to support programs and operational needs.
Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds, such as materials, supplies, and event equipment.
Manual dexterity required for operating office equipment, preparing materials, and managing paperwork.
Visual and auditory ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and visitors in person, via email, and by phone.
Must be able to set up and dismantle chairs, tables, and other equipment required for meetings, programs, or campus activities as needed.
