Job Overview The Vice President, M&A and Corporate Development will be a senior enterprise finance and strategy leader responsible for shaping and executing the future Beverage Co’s inorganic growth agenda, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, investments, partnerships and joint ventures. This role partners closely with Beverage Co’s CEO, CFO, Executive Leadership Team (ELT), and business leaders to identify, evaluate, and execute transactions that advance the company’s long‑term strategy and value creation objectives.

Enterprise M&A & Corporate Development Leadership

Lead enterprise acquisition, divestiture, partnership, investments and joint venture activity in close partnership with the CFO and business leaders.

Help refine and shape acquisition strategies aligned with corporate and business unit priorities.

Monitor and manage existing equity interests.

Maintain active dialogue with business leaders to identify and assess strategic growth opportunities across the portfolio.

Transaction Execution & Deal Leadership

Lead cross‑functional teams through the full transaction lifecycle, including acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.

Manage end‑to‑end execution across strategy development, due diligence, valuation, negotiation, signing, and completion.

Serve as the primary point of contact with counterparties and their advisors, ensuring clear communication and effective relationship management.

Collaborate closely with Legal, Finance, Tax, HR, IT, and other functional leaders to develop transaction agreements that appropriately reflect business issues, risks, and value drivers.

Valuation, Financial Analysis & Business Case Development

Determine transaction valuation using rigorous financial modeling, scenario analysis, and return assessment.

Partner with business teams to develop complete business cases incorporating both strategic rationale and detailed financial analysis.

Quickly assess acquisition and investment opportunities, synthesizing strategic value, synergies, key risks, and value detractors into clear recommendations.

Negotiation Strategy & Governance

Develop and lead negotiation strategies across a wide range of transaction types and deal sizes.

Synthesize strategy, valuation, and diligence findings into clear, executive‑ready materials for management, ELT, and Board reviews.

Support governance processes by preparing materials for Board of Directors discussions and approvals.

Corporate Strategy & Market Insight

Contribute to the development of value‑creating corporate strategies through financial analysis, industry research, and collaboration with senior leadership.

Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic decision making.

Maintain strong Investment Banking relationships to support market insight, deal sourcing, and execution excellence.

Executive, Board & External Communications

Build high‑quality corporate strategy and transaction presentations for senior leadership, the Board of Directors, and external audiences, including the investor community.

Partner with the CEO, CFO, and business leaders on strategic narratives and decision frameworks shared with the Board.

Capability Building & Organizational Development

Build and strengthen M&A and corporate development capabilities across the organization.

Train leaders and teams on M&A valuation, deal processes, and corporate strategy development on an ongoing basis.

Lead, influence, and develop both junior and senior teams across functions, fostering a collaborative, enterprise‑first mindset.

Total Rewards

Salary Range: $218,800 – $310,000. Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors.

Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and MBA from an accredited institution.

Minimum of 10+ years of progressive M&A and corporate development experience with hands‑on involvement across all stages of the transaction lifecycle.

Proven experience leading a broad range of transactions from small (sub $25 M) to large‑scale ($1 B+) deals.

Deep experience leading acquisitions or joint ventures with CPG companies; beverage industry experience strongly preferred.

Experience presenting to and interacting with C‑suite executives, including the CEO and Board of Directors.

Strong financial and business acumen, with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear strategic insights.

Demonstrated negotiation expertise with the ability to lead through influence across internal and external stakeholders.

Strong executive presence and professional credibility with senior leaders, counterparties, and advisors.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including advanced PowerPoint and Excel capabilities.

Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with strong time management and prioritization skills.

Travel required as needed, approximately 25% of work time.
