The Role An Account Executive on the U.S. Federal Go‑To‑Market team responsible for bringing IonQ’s quantum hardware, software, applications, and access to a curated set of clients across the Department of the Army. Individual contributor with the potential to build a team.
Responsibilities
Strategic Intelligence and 4th Estate Partnerships : Cultivate executive‑level relationships within the Intelligence Community (CIA, NSA, NRO, NGA) and DoW 4th Estate agencies (DARPA, DISA, DIU). Align solutions with mission‑specific requirements.
Mission‑Focused Pipeline Generation : Build a robust pipeline across IonQ’s full stack for:
Quantum computing for cryptanalysis, signal processing, and intelligence fusion.
Quantum networking for secure entanglement‑based communication and clandestine connectivity.
Quantum sensing for clandestine navigation and underground facility detection.
Strategic Qualification and IC Alignment : Prioritize opportunities, navigate IC funding cycles, and align with the National Intelligence Strategy and OUSR R&E roadmap.
Full Lifecycle Capture Management : Manage end‑to‑end sales and capture in classified environments, including procurement processes, technical qualifications, and negotiations for BAA, OTA, and IDIQ programs.
Cross‑Functional Command : Mobilize and lead internal IonQ teams (Security, Legal, Engineering) to win high‑stakes contracts.
Mission Adoption and Continuity : Partner with delivery and support teams post‑award for seamless integration and long‑term adoption.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of national security GTM experience, closing multi‑million dollar deals within classified or highly regulated environments.
Experience selling HPC, AI/ML infrastructure, or advanced cyber/signals intelligence systems to the IC or DARPA‑like organizations.
Existing relationships within the CIA, NSA, NRO, or DoW agencies with deep understanding of security protocols.
Ability to navigate federal procurement, security compliance, and FOCI hurdles.
Preferred Qualifications
Senior‑level relationships in national security (ODNI leadership, Agency CTOs, DARPA PMs).
Domain expertise in IC and DoW 4th Estate drivers enhanced by quantum technologies.
Experience selling AI/ML, computer vision, or predictive analytics for all‑source analysts.
Quantum literacy in compute, networks, sensing, PQC, QKD, and SIGINT collection.
Experience in category creation for frontier technology solutions.
Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $169,869 – $221,514. Total compensation includes base pay, bonus, equity, and a range of benefits found on our career site.
