Position Summary
The Director of Investor Relations will lead and execute a best‑in‑class IR program, serving as a key strategic partner to the CFO and executive leadership team. This individual will be responsible for shaping and communicating the company's equity story, strengthening relationships with the investment community, and driving valuation through clear, consistent, and compelling messaging. This role requires a strong understanding of public markets, financial storytelling, and the ability to translate complex technologies into a clear investment narrative.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for investors, analysts, and prospective shareholders
Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors and sell-side analysts
Coordinate and lead investor meetings, conferences, non‑deal roadshows, and earnings calls
Craft and refine the company's investment thesis, messaging, and long‑term narrative
Partner with senior leadership to ensure consistent communication of strategy, financial performance, and growth drivers
Lead investor targeting
Maintain and update analyst financial models
Lead quarterly earnings process, including drafting scripts, press releases, and Q&A materials
Ensure compliance with SEC regulations and best practices in financial disclosure
Provide information on stock market dynamics, the company's share price performance and trading patterns, and competitor activity to senior management
Monitor peer communications and market trends to inform messaging
Analyze shareholder base, trading dynamics, and investor sentiment
Track industry trends across public safety and defense‑tech sectors
Develop investor presentations, fact sheets, and other IR materials
Manage the investor relations section of the company web site
Ability to network and liaise with a wide variety of groups within the company (e.g. R&D, product teams, finance) to obtain and share relevant information
Skills & Qualifications
BA/BS degree and 5-10 years of experience in investor relations, equity research, investment banking, or a related field
Prior IR experience at a small-to‑mid cap publicly traded company in public safety, defense‑tech, applied markets or advanced industrials sectors strongly preferred
Strong financial acumen and ability to interpret and communicate financial results
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, writing and communication skills
Proven ability to engage effectively with senior executives and external stakeholders
Collaborative, proactive, and detail‑oriented
Willingness to travel 30-40% of the time

Compensation:
The annualized base pay range for this position at the commencement of employment is expected to be between
$190,000 and $210,000 per year/per hour ; the base pay offered may vary depending on several individualized factors, including market location, job-related skills, and experience. This position may also be eligible to receive additional compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission, or long‑term incentives.
Location: Burlington, MA (Corporate office) with a manufacturing center in Danbury, Connecticut. Remote staff worldwide.
