Valuation Actuary Life and Health Reinsurance . In this temporary position, you will work on central validation and reporting processes in accordance with IFRS 17 and Solvency II and support our international Life & Health reinsurance business in key phases. You can expect challenging tasks, a professional environment and close cooperation with experts from our global network.
You can look forward to
Preparation of balance sheet and forecast values for IFRS 17 and Solvency II for Life & Health reinsurance business
Using and further developing actuarial models
Economic valuation of the Life & Health reinsurance portfolios
Using multiple internal systems and databases to generate balance sheet and forecast values
Analyzing and checking the plausibility of balance sheet and forecast values
Collaboration on reporting tasks for IFRS 17 and Solvency II
Communicating with internal and external stakeholders, such as independent auditors and colleagues from the international network of the Hannover Re Group
Interdisciplinary exchange with colleagues from the areas of Underwriting, Accounting, Group Risk Management and IT
You come equipped with
Degree in (business) mathematics or business administration or a comparable subject area
Professional experience in life(re)insurance business is desirable
Member of an actuarial society or actuarial training programme of advantage
Well‑versed in using Excel and capacity for analytical thinking
Knowledge of balance sheet mathematics
Experience with IFRS 17 reporting is desirable
Independent user skills in English (at least level B2), German skills or willing to learn the language desirable
Ability to manage complex issues with confidence, work collaboratively in an international team and also act confidently in challenging phases
