
Account Manager - Commercial P&C Insurance

Responsibilities
Provide customer service and overall service for assigned customers and/or policies, soliciting new business on existing accounts and supporting Producer-led new business efforts. Support Producer in developing new business opportunities for existing clients and prospects. Initiate renewal process for existing clients, discuss and create renewal strategy with Producer. Analyze and compare current exposures and develop renewal or new business specifications for marketing. Conduct marketing, negotiate rates, review quotes and coverages for competitiveness and accuracy. Review and summarize marketing results and prepare proposals. Finalize proposals and presentations in coordination with Producer. Binds insurance coverage and prepares binders and/or delegate certificates issuance. Review policies for accuracy and review contracts. Prepare summaries and/or schedules of coverage for clients. Review client accounting history, respond to accounting inquiries, correct discrepancies, and contact client on receivable collections. Participate in the claims process as directed by management, including claim submission, follow‑up and overall communication. Provide technical guidance to staff assisting with client needs or procedural issues. Notify brokers of pertinent information related to client retention. Meet with clients as needed or directed by Producer. Collect fees, reconcile and resolve any outstanding balances within 90 days of invoicing date. Comply with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enter and maintain complete and accurate information). Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Six (6) or more years of related work experience. Valid insurance license. Continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal. Encouraged to complete Career Path requirements as communicated by supervisor. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills. Good leadership, problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
