The Pekoe Group is an award-winning, fast paced, full-service Advertising Agency in NYC, working with the city's top Broadway shows, Off-Broadway shows, and restaurants.
We are seeking an Art Director who can take briefs from our Accounts team and turn them into exciting, effective ad campaigns quickly and consistently.
This is not a “one big campaign at a time” role. This role will be developing, designing, and refining multiple campaigns simultaneously—often across social, digital, OOH, and brand—sometimes concepting in the morning and shipping assets by end of day.
At the top of each week, the Art Director will receive a set of briefs from the Accounts team. Their job is to take those briefs, come up with ideas, and bring them to life across all media. This person should have a digital-first, social-first aesthetic and mindset.
This role is hands-on, responsible for both the ideas and the execution. The ideal candidate will be energized by pace, not intimidated by it.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE Reviewing and interpreting briefs from the Accounts team
Coming up with ad campaign ideas based on those briefs
Designing and producing ads across social, digital, print, and OOH
Working with copywriters and designers to develop ideas
Delivering finished, ready-to-use assets, often on short timelines
Handling multiple projects at once and shifting between different brands and styles
Making updates, variations, and improvements to campaigns as needed
Ensuring all work follows brand guidelines and looks polished
QUALIFICATIONS 2+ years of experience as an Art Director or 5+ years of experience in a creative studio advertising agency or similar environment
A portfolio that demonstrates both conceptual thinking and high volume execution
Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
Experience creating for social-first and performance-driven campaigns
Ability to move quickly without losing attention to detail
Strong organizational and time management skills
Confidence presenting work to internal teams and explaining creative decisions
