Description The
Digital Marketing Specialist
is responsible for developing and executing digital marketing initiatives that drive demand, elevate brand visibility, and clearly communicate the Bunzl value proposition across digital channels. This role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking, hands‑on execution, and data‑driven optimization, along with a solid understanding of modern digital platforms and marketing technology.
This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, Creative & Demand Generation and works closely with cross‑functional partners to support integrated, high‑impact marketing initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Digital Marketing Specialist to join the BluePrint in‑house agency team. As the team continues to expand, this role offers opportunities to grow, evolve, and help build out Bunzl’s digital marketing and demand generation capabilities across divisions.
This is an onsite, dayshift role in our Chicago IL (Morton Grove) office. There may be some flexibility to work from home 2‑3 days per month if necessary.
Responsibilities:
Drive demand generation and lead growth across SEO, email, social media, and website channels.
Manage ongoing website content updates and optimizations to improve search visibility, user experience, and conversion performance.
Leverage Microsoft Dynamics CRM to support audience segmentation, campaign execution, automation, and lead nurturing.
Monitor, analyze, and report on digital performance metrics, translating insights into clear recommendations and continuous optimization.
Collaborate closely with Creative, Sales, E‑Commerce, and Digital teams to ensure integrated, aligned execution across campaigns.
Partner with the Content Strategist to ensure messaging alignment and timely delivery of digital assets that support campaign goals.
Apply basic design and content‑editing skills to make minor asset updates when needed, helping streamline workflows and timelines.
Maintain a professional, organized approach to time management, priorities, and deadlines across multiple initiatives.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in digital marketing, demand generation, or performance marketing.
Proven experience driving measurable results, including increased engagement and website traffic, across SEO, email marketing, website management, and social media platforms.
Experience using CRM and marketing automation tools, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and identify actionable insights.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Bonus Skills & Experience:
Experience working in an in‑house agency or B2B marketing environment.
Familiarity with paid media, A/B testing, and conversion rate optimization.
Basic design or content editing experience.
Experience supporting large, multi‑channel campaigns with multiple stakeholders.
A growth mindset and interest in helping evolve and scale digital marketing capabilities within an organization.

The salary range for this role is a base of $60,000 - $80,000 per year based on education, experience and geography.
