Senior Director External Engagement - Multiple Myeloma

Location: Upper Providence (US - Collegeville, PA): GSK HQ (London, UK): Baar (Zug, Switzerland)

As Senior Director External Engagement, you will lead the Commercial engagement plans with External Experts and key Congresses across the full range of inline and lifecycle strategies for GSK in Multiple Myeloma indications, working across functions and regions to shape strategy and deliver patient impact. You will partner with medical, access & insights colleagues alongside local co-create markets to build clear, evidence-led external engagement and congress plans.

The selected individual will need to demonstrate high accountability for impact and strong track record of external engagement and developing innovative approaches to develop and mobilize advocacy in highly-competitive markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of global commercial external engagement strategy and associated tactical plans for Multiple Myeloma across all inline and lifecycle indications.
  • Ensure enterprise collaboration (especially with medical affairs & R&D) to align on goals, strategies, tactics & enabling insights to position GSK as a leader in Myeloma.
  • Collaborate strongly with medical and co-create markets, leverage and refine the Key External Expert (KEE) framework aligned to asset and therapy area strategy to develop and mobilize advocacy.
  • Deliver high-quality and high-impact KEE engagement (e.g. Dots) and congress strategies and tactics through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators to measure commercial impact and inform rapid learning cycles.
  • Coach and develop stakeholders and influence senior leaders to secure resources and alignment.
  • As a member of the Global Commercial team, input into overarching asset and therapy area strategies.
  • Ensure KEE engagement and congress strategies comply with relevant regulations and internal policies and maintain high ethical standards.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading external engagement and congress strategies.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills in a matrix environment.
  • Proven ability to use data and insights to inform strategic decisions and measure outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MSc, or related).
  • Prior experience working in global launch in oncology or hematology.
  • Commercial experience at the global or above-country (e.g. regional) level.
  • Track record of managing external agencies and vendor partnerships.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and ROI assessments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior stakeholder engagement.
