Overview Are you interested in gaining hands-on experience through government, public policy, or communications? Business Oregon, the state’s economic development agency, is seeking a Communications & Marketing Intern within the Arts and Culture Division. This is a full-time internship position starting in June 2026 and continuing through September 2026.

About the Role The Arts & Culture Division of Business Oregon, through the Oregon Arts Commission and Oregon Cultural Trust, works to enhance the quality of life for all Oregonians through supporting arts, culture, history, heritage, and humanities in every corner of the state. This role supports arts and culture initiatives by performing graphic design, website content refinement, communications, and special project functions under the supervision of the Arts & Culture senior program manager and division staff.
Responsibilities Perform graphic design and website content refinement
Assist with communications and special project functions
Contribute to programmatic tooling and outreach efforts as assigned
Projects May Include Website content refinement for Arts Commission and Cultural Trust
Developing programmatic toolkits for websites (Percent for Art, Arts Learning, Cultural Districts, Technical Assistance for Cultural Nonprofits)
Data visualization
Video capture for social media storytelling (iPhone)

Minimum Qualifications Students in junior/senior year of college or graduate students in first/second year at hire (June 2026)
Requested Skills The ideal candidate possesses a combination of some or all of the following, and you do not need to have all these skills to be eligible:
Experience with website management (e.g., WordPress)
Experience in basic graphic design and/or video tools
Experience analyzing information, conducting research, and summarizing findings clearly
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (or similar tools)
Understanding of, or interest in, nonprofits, cultural organizations, or community work
