The Role
As our first dedicated BD hire, you\'ll own revenue growth and strategic partnerships from the ground up. You\'ll be a key voice in shaping our go-to-market motion, closing our early enterprise accounts, and building the relationships that define Octozi\'s reputation in the industry. This role is high-autonomy and high-impact, reporting directly to the CEO.

What You\'ll Do
Business Development & Revenue Growth

Own and execute territory strategy to hit and exceed revenue targets with new pharma and biotech accounts

Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities using your existing network and our growing inbound pipeline

Drive complex, multi-stakeholder deal pursuits from initial interest through signed contract

Maintain disciplined pipeline management and accurate forecasting in CRM

Client & Partner Engagement

Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across clinical data management, biometrics, and clinical operations

Build long-term relationships that support expansion from single-trial pilots to enterprise agreements

Lead presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations

Translate client pain points around manual data workflows into compelling Octozi value propositions

Identify and close partnership opportunities that can multiply our reach

Work closely with the founders on pricing strategy, deal structures, and product roadmap input

Act as a direct feedback loop from the market into product development

What We\'re Looking For

5+ years of experience in SaaS or tech-enabled services sales within pharma, biotech, or CROs

Proven track record closing complex, multi-year contracts with enterprise life sciences accounts

Existing network within pharma/biotech clinical data, biometrics, or clinical operations organizations

Strong understanding of the clinical trial data lifecycle (EDC, CDISC, medical coding, safety reporting)

Comfort operating in an early-stage environment where you\'re building process as you sell
