Overview ENROLLMENT MARKETING & COMMUNI (BL-SCOM-IUBLA). The Office of Enrollment Management (OEM) at Indiana University Bloomington is dedicated to attracting, enrolling, and supporting a community of talented students from Indiana, across the nation, and around the world. Through its units Admissions, Scholarships, the Registrar, Student Financial Assistance, Student Central, Orientation and Enrollment Programs, Retention, Planning and Research, Enrollment Marketing and Communications, Administration and Fiscal Affairs, and Development OEM advances the university's mission by fostering access, belonging, and student success while upholding IU Bloomington\'s tradition of academic excellence and public service. Responsibilities Department Specific Responsibilities: Contributes to and executes OEM content strategy, collaborating with OEM and campus partners to develop ideas and targeted communications. Creates integrated, brand aligned content across email, web, print, digital, social, and other marketing channels, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to IU style guidelines. Works collaboratively with others when writing, editing, proofreading, and content production workflows, managing multiple projects, and ensuring consistency across campaigns. Provides editorial guidance, maintains the OEM style guide, and supports best practices in writing and communication. Demonstrates strong project management skills, handling multiple priorities with accuracy, dependability, and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure. Engages in ongoing professional development to stay current with marketing, communications, and editorial best practices. General Responsibilities: Writes and edits clear, informative written content for various communications needs, audiences, and publication formats, assessing for relevance, accuracy, and appropriateness; tailors the degree of copyediting to a project\'s specific needs. Corrects basic and complex grammar, spelling, punctuation, formatting, and syntax errors and performs edits that improve overall writing quality of communications and ensure alignment with university mission, strategies, objectives, and brand and accessibility guidelines. Performs reviews of peer writing to ensure grammar, quality, tone, and level of depth are sufficient; may also review against requirements for specific publications, including content, length, brand guidelines, and deadline specifications. Consults regularly with writers, printers, faculty, staff, and/or other stakeholders to ensure adherence to writing and publications deadlines. Identifies user and audience needs and analyzes usage of existing content in order to identify content gaps; plans, develops, and publishes internal and external communications. Drafts sample communications to be reviewed with manager at project deadline checkpoints. May provide guidance to other Writing/Editing Specialists. Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in English, communications, journalism, public relations, or related field. 2 years in relevant field. Proficient communication skills. Maintains a high degree of professionalism. Demonstrates time management and priority setting skills. Demonstrates a high commitment to quality. Possesses flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty. Highly thorough and dependable. Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure. Ability to work within tight time frames and meet strict deadlines. Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities. Ability to drive multiple projects to successful completion. Demonstrates familiarity with correct style and ability to write, edit, and proof text, including ability to read for content and correct accordingly. Location, Schedule, and Compensation Bloomington, Indiana. This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule (mix between 2 remote workdays and 3 in-person workdays), subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs. Salary: $50,000 - $58,000 annually.
