Responsibilities
- Identify and engage new business opportunities through outreach methods such as cold calling, email campaigns, and social media.
- Respond to inbound leads driven by website traffic and marketing efforts.
- Gain a strong understanding of our products, services, industry verticals, and client workflows.
- Hold consultative discovery calls to uncover client needs, budget parameters, and project timelines.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations and tailored sales presentations.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance metrics on a quarterly and yearly basis.
- Collaborate with marketing to execute campaigns and outreach strategies.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of all prospect and client interactions in CRM (HubSpot).
- Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and client site visits.
- Support sales and marketing teams with account research and lead generation using online tools.
- Take advantage of training opportunities to refine sales techniques and industry knowledge.
- Actively contribute to regular Sales and Marketing meetings.
- Help coordinate and promote internal and external company events.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a business development or sales role focused on opening new accounts and nurturing client relationships.
- Background in selling SaaS or technical solutions, ideally within the life sciences space.
- Familiarity with a consultative sales approach and strategic account development.
- Strong communicator with the ability to simplify complex topics and tailor messaging to the audience.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or surpassing sales goals and KPIs.
- Willingness to proactively reach out to prospects through cold outreach and follow-up.
- Experience navigating longer B2B sales cycles and engaging multiple stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of the sales funnel, from lead qualification to close.
- Self-driven, goal-oriented, and adaptable with a strong desire to grow professionally.
- Effective both independently and as part of a collaborative sales team.
- Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business or life sciences, preferred.
- Prior experience using CRMs like Salesforce or HubSpot.
