Dispatch/Customer Service Representative

Four Corners Materials, a CRH company, is seeking a Dispatch/Customer Service Representative in Cortez, Colorado. This position involves scheduling and dispatching material orders from customers, requiring strong customer relations skills and basic knowledge of the construction industry. The wage ranges from $19 to $22 per hour, depending on experience. Key Responsibilities: Receive telephone orders from customers. Dispatch truck fleet according to customer's demands. Ensure timely and accurate material delivery to the assigned job site. Maintain communication with current and future customers. Maintain dispatch facilities and keep in good working order all necessary equipment. Provide the Dispatch Manager with requests for new or replacement equipment when necessary. Properly follow all company policies and MSHA & OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environmental best practices. Report any problems to the Department Manager, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Knowledge of the concrete and construction industry is preferred. 2 years' experience in order taking and concrete dispatch is preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required. Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required. Knowledge/Skill Requirements: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to work well with others in a group or one on one setting. To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and have a strong working knowledge of Database software. Excellent customer service skills. Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus. Able to work in all weather conditions. The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hand and arms above their shoulders. Must be able to exert 10-20 lbs. constantly to move objects, 25-50 lbs. of force frequently, and 50-100 lbs. of force occasionally. Work Environment: Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
