Duties You will ensure events and engagements are coordinated, as required, while maintaining confidentiality appropriate to the issue. You will maintain liaison with the protocol offices of the White House, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Services, Combatant Commands, and other Defense Agencies. You will independently manage the planning, coordination, and execution of all protocol functions for high-ranking U.S. and foreign dignitary visits. You will be responsible for the oversight and management of the Congressionally-authorized ORF budget. Develops and executes a 200K annual budget. Ensures all expenditures are within prescribed Congressional, DOD, and SECNAV guidelines Requirements Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Routinely required to work overtime, compensatory time, change of shift, holidays, weekends, or evenings on short notice. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Senior Executive Engagement Management, Protocol and Ceremonial Expertise, Strategic Event Planning, Interagency and International Coordination. Must have direct experience supporting senior executives or Flag/General Officers with a demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-vis engagements. Must be familiar with protocol standards and practices, and ability to ensure engagements are conducted with appropriate decorum and precision.
