As an Operations Finance Director, you will help lead with enterprise-wide accountability and influence over our aerospace engine and airframe maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) activities. The role will be based at our Scottsdale, AZ headquarters. The role will enable improved earnings from operations activities and more efficient trade working capital across the enterprise. This is a high visibility role reporting directly to the Vice President of FP&A and will partner with key leaders including the VP of Operational Excellence, VP Supply Chain, Chief Accounting Officer, VP Treasurer, Division CFOs and is a resource to our site Controllers. StandardAero is a leading independent, pure-play provider of aerospace engine aftermarket services for fixed and rotary wing aircraft, serving the commercial, military and business aviation end markets. StandardAero provides a comprehensive suite of critical, value-added aftermarket solutions, including scheduled and unscheduled engine maintenance, repair and overhaul, as well as engine component repair serving a crucial role in the engine aftermarket value chain, connecting engine original equipment manufacturers with aircraft operators through our aftermarket services, maintaining longstanding relationships with both. What you'll do: Lead sales, inventory and operations planning (SIOP) process from finance. Ensure inputs and outcomes are finance-relevant, process-oriented, sustainable and aligned with reporting and planning systems. SARO is implementing an updated SIOP process enterprise-wide and seeks strong leadership as the system is rolled-out across 50+ operating sites SAOS (StandardAero Operating System) finance lead. SAOS is a new initiative to standardize MRO operations reporting, planning and optimization Optimize and standardize operations accounting and reporting across the company. Improve trade working capital performance through detailed analysis, site visits, standardized driver-based forecasting methodologies and metric utilization across 50+ MRO sites. Analyze end-to-end supply chain performance and profitability and identify opportunities for cost out. Areas to focus on include direct material cost, direct labor cost as well as indirect operations costs such as freight, tariffs and validation of savings opportunities based on landed cost. Supplement continuous improvement/lean initiatives with transparent tracking and reporting with resultant recommendations Lead tactical initiatives on margin improvement, cash generation and cost rationalization with development and maintenance of reporting and KPIs to assess and drive financial strategies. Support company real estate strategy to include lease v buy and footprint consolidation opportunities. Maintains expert understanding of company inventory and inventory systems to insure accurate inventory and direct costs Supports the make v buy process across the company. Tracks and drives improvement in inventory excess & obsolescence. Work with divisions to track and report cost of poor quality along with identifying areas for improvement. Position requirements: Must be authorized to work in the US Ability to work on site at corporate headquarters (Scottsdale, AZ) Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required 10+ years of finance experience, experience within cost accounting or program finance analysis Thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures. Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office (including Excel), and financial software applications Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
