The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing the review and sponsorship of credit transactions, ensuring that risk ratings align with the profiles of borrowers and transactions. This role involves close collaboration with lending, portfolio management, and other stakeholders to maintain portfolio quality and support growth objectives within the company's risk appetite. The Head will also provide guidance on loan structuring, participate in client meetings, and coach less experienced colleagues on underwriting practices and regulatory compliance.
Applicants for this role at The Company should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience, with a minimum of 12 years in commercial real estate credit across various asset classes. A proven background as a credit-trained banker in a highly credit-intensive environment is essential, as is a strong understanding of regulatory credit frameworks and risk models.
