Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Customs Entry Writer to join our Houston-based operations team. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and compliant customs entries for international shipments, particularly within regulated and chemical-focused supply chains.
Key Responsibilities
- Filing ISF in a timely manner.
- Prepare and review customs entry documentation in compliance with CBP, FDA, and other PGAs
- Filing Customs Entries (Customs Clearance) for import shipments.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs authorities to ensure smooth clearance
- Monitor shipment status and resolve documentation or clearance issues
- Assist with HTS (tariff) classification, duties, and cost analysis
- Maintain organized records for audits and compliance reviews
- Stay current on U.S. customs regulations and FDA requirements



Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications
- Experience in ISF and customs entry filing within a freight forwarding or logistics environment
- Strong understanding of U.S. import regulations and supply chain operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FDA, EPA, USDA, or other Partner Government Agencies
- Chemical or hazardous materials shipment experience
- CargoWise experience
- Knowledge of 3PL, NVOCC, and transportation planning
- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS)
