Director of Finance

A great client at UHY is seeking a Director of Finance . The ideal candidate will have healthcare finance experience, strong financial modeling skills, and experience leading or building finance functions.
The Director of Finance role is a fully remote position (with one annual trip to New York required). This is a client direct hire position.
Director of Finance Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the finance function, including accounting, FP&A, and revenue cycle operations
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Oversee month-end close and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Develop financial models to support growth, profitability, and strategic decisions
- Manage financial operations across a multi-entity structure, including intercompany activity
- Monitor cash flow and working capital
- Lead and improve revenue cycle performance, including collections, denials, and AR
- Partner with operations to optimize processes and evaluate resourcing strategies
- Analyze provider-level profitability and support decision-making on payer contracts and growth initiatives
- Build and improve financial reporting tools, dashboards, and systems to support scalability
Director of Finance Requirements
- 5+ years of finance experience in healthcare, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting experience
- Experience working with revenue cycle teams in a clinical setting
- Experience building or improving finance functions in a growing environment
- Experience overseeing accounting, FP&A, or financial operations
- Advanced Excel and/or BI tool skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience with multi-entity structures preferred
