Managing Director, Legal - Structured Products

A leading Global Investment Platform is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to oversee legal and regulatory matters for its structured products and annuity businesses. This role partners closely with executive leadership and serves as the primary legal advisor supporting a sophisticated, web‑based distribution platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as lead legal counsel for structured products and annuity offerings, advising on legal, regulatory, and strategic matters.
• Partner with senior management, finance, compliance, and risk teams on product development, distribution, and expansion initiatives.
• Negotiate and oversee complex commercial agreements with product issuers, insurance partners, and financial institutions.
• Lead and manage a team of attorneys supporting structured products, annuities, and related insurance businesses.
• Oversee outside counsel and drive efficiency and modernization across legal processes.

Qualifications

• J.D. with significant experience advising on structured investments, annuities, and financial products.
• Deep knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, including broker‑dealer and distribution requirements.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to operate at the executive level and translate complex legal issues into practical guidance.
