We are seeking a

Director of Tax

to lead its tax strategy, planning, compliance, and reporting functions across U.S. and international operations. This role oversees all aspects of income tax, tax provision, audits, and governance, while managing an internal team and external tax advisors.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the full tax function, including income tax compliance, tax provision, planning, audits, and reporting across U.S. and Canadian entities. Oversee quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision, effective tax rate analysis, and disclosures for SEC filings. Review all major tax filings to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with tax planning strategies. Ensure timely and accurate filing of federal, state, local, and international tax returns. Monitor and interpret tax legislation; assess business impact and recommend strategies to optimize the global tax structure. Forecast income tax expense and cash taxes to support strategic decision‑making. Manage relationships with external advisors, auditors, and tax authorities. Lead the evaluation and implementation of tax technology and automation to improve accuracy, efficiency, and controls. Strengthen internal controls and maintain SOX compliance for tax reporting. Support M&A activity, including due diligence, modeling, and integration. Drive continuous improvement in tax processes, workflows, and operating models. Collaborate cross‑functionally with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Legal, and other teams.

Qualifications: 15+ years of corporate tax experience within large or publicly traded organizations. Deep expertise in U.S. corporate tax, GAAP, ASC 740, and tax reporting standards. Experience leading tax teams and managing third‑party tax service providers. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced tax degree or CPA preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills. Experience with tax compliance and provision software (e.g., Corptax). Proven ability to drive process improvements and implement tax technology solutions. Strong analytical skills and the ability to influence across functions.
