Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Overview Company is seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead global marketing efforts across our regulated entities in the United States, Canada, Bahamas, and the European Union. This role requires a data-driven leader with deep expertise in performance marketing, digital channels, and AI-powered marketing systems, operating within a highly regulated financial services environment. The ideal candidate combines creativity with analytical rigor, understands broker-dealer compliance constraints, and has a proven ability to scale customer acquisition and engagement across multiple jurisdictions. Key Responsibilities Global Marketing Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute a unified global marketing strategy aligned with business growth targets across all regions Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing marketing team across multiple geographies Collaborate with executive leadership to drive brand positioning, client acquisition, and retention strategies Digital Marketing & Performance Channels Own and optimize all paid and organic acquisition channels, including: Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube) Meta Ads (Facebook, Instagram) Social media platforms (X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube) Drive continuous optimization of CAC, LTV, conversion funnels, and ROI Marketing Technology & Automation Architect and manage the marketing tech stack, including: Segment (customer data platform) Customer.io (email automation and lifecycle marketing) Build advanced audience segmentation, lifecycle journeys, and behavioral targeting strategies Ensure seamless data integration across platforms for real-time decision-making AI-Driven Marketing Innovation Leverage AI tools and frameworks to enhance all aspects of marketing, including: Content generation and personalization Campaign optimization and predictive analytics Customer segmentation and behavioral modeling Creative testing and performance forecasting Continuously evaluate and implement emerging AI technologies to maintain a competitive edge Content & Brand Strategy Oversee content strategy across all channels, including video (YouTube), social media, email, and web Drive high-quality, compliant financial marketing content tailored to retail and active traders Ensure consistent brand voice and messaging globally while adapting to regional nuances Compliance & Regulatory Oversight Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all marketing adheres to applicable regulations (e.g., FINRA, SEC, IIROC, ESMA) Establish processes for review, approval, and recordkeeping of marketing materials Maintain a strong understanding of financial promotion rules across jurisdictions Analytics & Reporting Define KPIs and build dashboards to track campaign performance and business impact Use data insights to inform strategic decisions and optimize marketing spend Report regularly to executive leadership on performance, opportunities, and risks Qualifications Experience 10+ years in marketing leadership roles, preferably within broker-dealers, fintech, or financial services Proven track record scaling digital acquisition in regulated environments Experience managing global or multi-jurisdiction marketing programs Technical & Platform Expertise Deep hands-on experience with: Google Ads & YouTube marketing Meta Ads ecosystem Segment (or similar CDP) Customer.io (or similar lifecycle/email platforms) Strong understanding of attribution models, analytics tools, and marketing automation AI Proficiency Demonstrated expertise using AI tools for marketing execution and optimization Familiarity with generative AI, predictive analytics, and automation workflows Ability to integrate AI into scalable marketing systems Skills Data-driven mindset with strong analytical capabilities Excellent leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills Strong understanding of trader audiences and financial markets preferred Preferred Qualifications Experience marketing to active traders, day traders, or retail brokerage clients Familiarity with trading platforms, margin accounts, and short selling Background in high-growth fintech or startup environments What Success Looks Like Scalable, efficient customer acquisition across all regions Fully integrated, AI-enhanced marketing ecosystem Strong brand presence and engagement within the trading community Measurable improvements in conversion rates, retention, and LTV
