We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Web Marketing to join our team. In this role, you will re‑imagine replit.com to make it a best‑in‑class experience, building and optimizing our website for both PLG and SLG motions. Your primary focus will be to own the entire website journey, from initial engagement through to new customer acquisition, achieving ambitious lead and customer growth goals, and driving conversion growth targets. You will own the marketing strategy, roadmap, and performance of replit.com to drive more website visits and sign‑ups.
You will work with a cross‑functional team encompassing Brand, Design, Product, Web Engineering, Marketing, and our Web Agency. Your mandate is to transform our web properties into high‑performing growth engines that drive acquisition, cross‑sell, and revenue, while upholding the highest standards for performance, accessibility, governance, and brand.
What You’ll Do
- Own the web strategy and quarterly roadmap for replit.com, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and implement high‑converting web journeys and personalization strategies for prospects, customers, and partners, reviewing and assessing content for effectiveness.
- Drive SEO and GEO optimization through site architecture, technical foundation, keyword support, and content, collaborating on technical health, information architecture, link strategy, and page quality.
- Plan and execute data‑driven testing to optimize and personalize web experiences, aiming to increase sign‑ups and lead generation.
- Improve execution speed by streamlining processes, implementing automation, and integrating technologies to enhance the agility of the broader marketing team.
- Act as a key cross‑functional partner, influencing teams across Product Management, Engineering, Design, Data, and Marketing.
- Evaluate and effectively prioritize web requirements from cross‑functional teams to achieve business outcomes.
- Manage budgets, Statements of Work (SOWs), and performance for agencies and tooling, evaluating and implementing new vendors as needed.
- Leverage our Sanity platform to accelerate page velocity, experimentation, and personalization across replit.com.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years in web/digital growth across B2C and B2B SaaS/commerce, including 4+ years leading multi‑disciplinary web teams spanning strategy, execution, experimentation, and analytics.
- Proven track record owning large‑scale web properties and CMS platforms (e.g., Sanity, Contentful, Storyblok, or equivalent) with measurable impact on pipeline and revenue.
- Strong command of Core Web Vitals, performance optimization, caching strategies, and modern front‑end practices; hands‑on experience with enterprise CMS, testing platforms (Optimizely, VWO, Adobe Target), analytics (GA4/Adobe), tag management, and SEO tools (Search Console, crawl/rank tools).
- Deep experience with technical SEO, structured data, and web accessibility standards.
- Fluent in GA4, Looker, and Google Search Console; experienced in partnering with data teams to build reporting and derive actionable insights.
- Strong judgment in roadmap planning and trade‑off decisions, with a bias toward high‑impact work under resource constraints.
- Comfortable partnering closely with engineering, product, and marketing on performance, releases, and optimization initiatives.
- Skilled at translating technical concepts into clear insights and strategy for non‑technical stakeholders; effective at influencing across a matrixed organization.
- Experience building, managing, and mentoring high‑performing teams across geographies, fostering strong cross‑functional relationships.

Compensation Range: $158K – $245K
Location & Hours
This is a full‑time role that can be held from our Foster City, CA office. The role has an in‑office requirement of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
