As a Food Service Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and satisfaction of our residents by managing the food service operations in our skilled nursing facility. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team and take on this key leadership role.
Responsibilities:
Manage the dietary program to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines, as well as company policies and procedures
Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of our residents, incorporating special diets and preferences
Manage the food budget, ordering supplies and managing inventory to ensure efficient use of resources
Supervise dietary staff, scheduling and training to ensure high-quality service and overall satisfaction
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, fridge, and dry food storage areas, adhering to strict sanitation and safety standards
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and effective communication
Requirements:
Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Service Manager, or similar national certification for food service management and safety from a national certifying body
Ability to manage dietary staff and schedule effectively
Strong knowledge of state and federal guidelines related to dietary and food service
Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen, fridge, and dry food storage areas
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow policy and procedures
Ability to manage budget and ordering supplies and managing inventory to ensure efficient use of resources
