Job Summary
The Sr. Marketing & Communications Specialist is responsible for managing a variety of strategic and tactical communications initiatives to support the company's goals. This role involves executing a broad range of marketing and communications activities, including creating reports, brochures, graphics, spreadsheets, and other business documents. The position reports to the VP of Marketing & Communications and may work closely with key internal and external customers including business development, HR, and the executive team. Additional responsibilities include coordinating the annual EnergySolutions conference and other industry trade shows and conferences to ensure marketing material, trade show booths and support are provided. The Marketing & Communications Specialist will work closely with the VP of Marketing to manage social media messaging.
Job Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities
Develop and execute internal and external communication plans and strategies to support key initiatives.
Create and manage print, audio, and video media targeting key audiences and customers to enhance brand awareness and value.
Support internal communication strategies to inform, engage, and connect employees.
Advise and prepare senior leaders on strategic communications and key messaging initiatives.
Collaborate with senior executives and Business Development to ensure accurate and effective messaging for diverse stakeholders and audiences.
Manage the company website (EnergySolutions.com) and Intranet, ensuring regular updates and maintaining accurate, engaging content.
Support the development of social media strategies to ensure brand consistency across all platforms.
Coordinate with facility appointed employees to gather news and information for social media updates.
Work closely with Business Development and the executive team to identify and leverage new opportunities that align with organizational objectives.
Represent EnergySolutions at conferences, engaging with current and prospective customers to market company services.
Prepare and design presentations, reports, graphics, correspondence, brochures, and other marketing materials as needed.
Perform writing and editing tasks to ensure high-quality content across all communication channels.
Play a key role in the planning and execution of the annual EnergySolutions conference.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education, Experience and Certification Requirements
Education : Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, English, communications, or related field.
Required Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, business, journalism or communications.
Preferred Experience : 5+ years of experience in marketing, business, journalism or communications; experience in web design and content production.
Certifications : None required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Exceptional time management and organizational abilities, capable of handling multiple assignments simultaneously.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
Proven ability to lead media and marketing initiatives that align with and achieve company objectives.
Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to articulate a clear vision and strategy to motivate teams toward business goals.
Ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure environment, including availability for after-hours and weekend work as needed.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with graphic design software.
Physical/Mental Requirements and Working Conditions
Ability to sit.
Ability to effectively communicate in clear English; pass audiogram in hearing conservation program as required by location.
Ability to work inside an office.
Proficiency in performing highly repetitive motions with fingers, hands, wrists, and shoulders.
Ability to work alone, work with others, and interact with the public.
Capability to perform under deadline pressure.
Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
