Overview Marketing and Outreach Specialist Sr – CalOptima. This is a senior role within the Communications team focused on marketing programs, advertising campaigns and strategic partnerships to support CalOptima Health's programs.
The position supports internal clients, collaborates with providers and community partners, and helps advance brand and enrollment efforts. The role may be full telework with California residency required and periodic in-person attendance at the Main Office in Orange, CA as specified.
Responsibilities Assist in the development and implementation of marketing programs, advertising campaigns and strategic partnerships.
Serve as a liaison with internal departments and programs (e.g., OneCare, PACE, Equity and Community Health, Covered California, Provider Relations and Community Relations) to deliver marketing and outreach services.
Create marketing collateral, advertisements and direct mailers in collaboration with internal clients and the MMA review team.
Coordinate events to support program goals and track campaign results to improve brand awareness and enrollment.
Support day-to-day marketing activities, develop tracking tools, and analyze campaign metrics for senior leadership to inform strategy.
Coordinate with other CalOptima Health departments for procurement, printing, proofing and inventory control; ensure compliance with CMS, DHCS, DMHC and Covered California policies.
Serve as backup for the Sr Manager of Marketing and Outreach as needed.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations or health care administration, plus 5 years of health care/community-based experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
3 years of experience in marketing and outreach for a health plan (HMO, Medi-Cal/Medicaid, Medicare or Covered California).
Experience designing and implementing operational performance measures and tracking/reporting business results.
Nice to Have Digital marketing experience, including social media placements.
Knowledge & Abilities Develop rapport with leadership, staff and external contacts; work independently with sound judgment.
Clear communication, both written and oral; flexible schedule including evening and weekend events.
Strong organization, analytical, problem-solving and project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate cross-functionally.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and job-specific applications.
Physical Requirements Ability to read information on screens and print materials; clear enunciation; adequate hearing for calls and in-person conversations.
Manual dexterity for typing, writing, bending, lifting under 10 pounds; capable of prolonged sitting and occasional movement.
Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation; hiring range: 308 – $64,165 to $102,664 (range may vary by location and internal equity).
Final salary based on education, knowledge, experience, and internal equity.
Full Telework eligibility (within California) with optional in-office requirement if applicable.
