Business Development Representative (BDR) Tampa, FL (Downtown) – 4 days in office, Monday-Thursday Full-Time Employment
Overview Strive have partnered with a high-growth cybersecurity SaaS company to build out their US go-to-market team in Tampa.
Operating at the intersection of cybersecurity and data infrastructure, this organization helps Managed Service Providers (MSPs) manage Microsoft security environments across multiple tenants in a simple, scalable way. With strong global traction, a rapidly expanding customer base, and significant funding behind them, they are entering a key growth phase in the US market.
This is an opportunity to join early, work alongside experienced sales leadership, and play a direct role in building pipeline and driving new business.
About the role This is a Business Development Representative position focused on outbound pipeline generation and new logo acquisition.
You will be responsible for engaging prospective customers, creating new opportunities, and partnering closely with Account Executives to drive revenue. The role is highly visible and plays a critical part in scaling the US business.
The team is structured across three levels:
Entry Level: No prior experience required
Mid Level: 0–5 months of experience
Senior Level: 6+ months of experience
What You’ll Be Doing Driving outbound prospecting through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other creative channels
Identifying and engaging MSPs and IT/security leaders across target accounts
Qualifying inbound interest and booking meetings for the sales team
Running structured discovery conversations to understand pain points and fit
Building and managing target account lists using research tools
Partnering closely with Account Executives on territory strategy and campaigns
Maintaining accurate activity and pipeline tracking within CRM systems
Consistently hitting and exceeding activity and pipeline generation targets
What We’re Looking for Strong interest in sales, cybersecurity, or SaaS
High energy, coachability, and a competitive mindset
Clear communication skills both written and verbal
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, in-office environment
Ability to handle rejection and stay resilient in an outbound role
Curiosity and willingness to learn technical concepts over time
For mid and senior candidates: early experience in outbound prospecting or BDR/SDR roles is a plus
