Ready to Move from Top Performer to Team Leader?
You’ve spent the last few years mastering the craft of design sales while closing confidently, building client trust, and consistently hitting your numbers. Now you’re asking: what’s next?
This is that next step.
We’re looking for an experienced Design Consultant who’s ready to stop just executing the playbook and start helping to build it in the Chicago market. You’ll partner directly with the business owner to sharpen and scale a proven client‑first sales process, with a clear path to a leadership role as the team grows around you.
What this actually looks like day‑to‑day
You’ll run in‑home design consultations, guiding homeowners through one of the most personal purchasing decisions they'll make. This isn’t transactional selling — it’s consultative, relationship‑driven work where your design instincts and sales skills both matter.
What sets this opportunity apart
Direct partnership with ownership – your ideas and performance will actually be seen and acted on, we’re one team with a clear vision
A defined leadership track, not a vague “growth opportunity”
A structured, proven sales process to build on, not start from scratch
3‑month paid training before transitioning to commission, so you ramp with confidence
Earning potential directly tied to your performance and the overall success of the business – high output, high reward
You're likely the right fit if you
Have 2–5 years of design sales or in‑home sales experience, a track record of strong closes and satisfied clients, and you’re hungry to build something, not just sell something.
Requirements
Sales experience – design experience is a plus!
Proficiency in technology and ability to understand design software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time‑management skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Detail‑oriented with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction
Passion for design
Responsibilities
Meet with clients to understand their vision, needs, and preferences for a dream home storage space
Design custom closets and spaces using our industry‑leading design software
Provide estimates and proposals for custom closet systems
Collaborate with the installation team to ensure accurate and efficient installation
Provide exceptional customer service and communication throughout the design and installation process
Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Follow company policies and procedures related to design and customer service
Compensation
3‑month paid training period followed by un‑capped commission based role targeting $100,000+ in annual earnings.
