Centralized Leasing Specialist (Remote)
Position Summary:
As a Centralized Leasing Specialist for Elmington’s Centralized Operations team, you will play a key role in driving leasing efforts while maintaining strict compliance for affordable housing communities across the country. This remote role leverages your expertise in Leasing, and preferably Low‑Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs, to ensure each property meets critical leasing, occupancy, and compliance goals. You will contribute to the success of multiple properties by aligning leasing and occupancy rates with broader financial objectives and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast‑paced environment.
Details:
Centralized Leasing hours: Monday‑Sunday, 8am‑8pm
Current Shift Options: 9am‑6pm, 10am‑7pm, 11am‑8pm
Incentives: $150 per move‑in
Weekend availability is required
Two‑week paid training period at the Corporate office in Nashville, TN
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in property management and/or customer service focus call center.
Affordability LIHTC leasing experience is required.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, leadership, and residents.
Outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and deadlines efficiently.
Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to guide a team.
Advanced proficiency in property management software and compliance platforms.
Ability to stay updated on evolving compliance regulations and proactively adjust workflows.
A passion for chasing excellence and providing exemplary customer service.
Essential Job Functions:
Respond to new lead inquiries via phone, email, text, and live chat in a timely and professional manner.
Provide potential residents with accurate information about available apartment homes, leasing terms, and application processes.
Assist applicants in filling out their rental applications and explain the required documentation to ensure complete compliance.
Collect missing documents and follow up regularly on outstanding items required for the application and compliance processes.
Provide regular updates on the progress of applications and compliance reviews, communicating any issues or delays and offering guidance to help applicants resolve concerns.
Work closely with Compliance Specialists to ensure all applications are thoroughly reviewed and meet regulatory requirements.
Log all communications and updates in the company’s CRM system, ensuring accurate record‑keeping for each applicant and interaction.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Frequently sit, stand and walk; regularly required to talk or hear; often use hands to handle tools or controls; occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally lift up to 25 pounds; moderate noise and temperature levels.
Travel up to 10% of the time.
