Generate underwriting submissions for Directors and Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, and Fidelity/Crime for large and complex private and not‑for‑profit healthcare organizations. Handle new and renewal, primary and excess business throughout the placement process from submission receipt to policy issuance. Determine risk acceptability in accordance with underwriting risk appetite and guidelines. Prepare thorough underwriting analyses with exposure analysis and independent assessment. Make pricing, coverage, terms and conditions determinations within defined limits and guidelines. Develop, grow and maintain a profitable, diversified book of business aligned with company goals. Ensure production and loss ratio goals are achieved for assigned book through review, analysis and action. Develop positive agency relationships and provide responsive service. Coordinate marketing activities and travel with BHC colleagues. Foster growth of less experienced staff in a positive, growth‑oriented environment. Actively self‑educate on industry trends, exposures, claims, legal, legislative, healthcare and current events. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college. Minimum 5 years of recent experience in financial lines underwriting with a proven track record. Specialized experience in healthcare financial lines underwriting preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of financial lines products, coverages, policy forms and industry standards. Exceptional organizational skills for managing complex underwriting files. Strong customer service orientation and commitment to high-quality client experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effective desk management capabilities, including prioritization and time‑management. Self‑motivated and independent, while accountable to team objectives and company goals. Ability to take calculated risks and apply sound business judgment. Strategic mindset with understanding of business drivers and contribution to bottom‑line results. Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 15%). Additional Company Details
