They review and verify all required loan documentation for completeness and compliance with bank policy. The Mortgage Loan Processor ensures the timely and accurate packaging of all loans originated by the mortgage lending officers.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES***The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.** Reviews loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with federal, state, and investor requirements.* Collects and reviews loan documentation including income, credit, appraisal, assets and title insurance, amongst other documents while ensuring the information is complete, accurate and meets program and product specifications.* Orders, tracks, and reviews third party services, including appraisals, credit reports, title, insurance, surveys, and verifications.* Maintains accurate loan data and documentation in the Loan Origination System (LOS), ensuring proper milestone progression.* Processes loans in accordance with broker, secondary market, and internal policy guidelines.* Effectively communicates loan status updates and issues with borrowers, loan officers, and supervisors.* Follows up on submitted and pending loans to ensure timely resolution and progression.* Serves as a liaison between the customer, sales representatives, and the underwriting department.* Prepares loan files for underwriting, submit conditions for review, and clear conditions in a timely manner.* Manages the processing timelines to ensure all critical deadlines are met for timely loan closing.* Other duties as assigned.**QUALIFICATIONS***These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities and organizational limitations may result in some deviation from these guidelines.** High School diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree or some college a plus.* 2+ years of experience processing residential mortgage and construction loans.* 1+ year of experience processing FHA residential mortgage loans preferred.* Basic knowledgeable in mortgage loan compliance.* Ability to read and understand title documents, appraisal reports, credit reports and loan applications.* Must be able to process loans through FNMA DU/DO and interpret results.
Proficient in using loan origination systems.* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.* Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, the Windows environment, and internet research skills.* Excellent analytical, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.* Must be self-motivated with strong initiative, high level of accountability, and attention to detail.* Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Ability to always maintain a high degree of ethical standards and complete confidentiality.* NMLS or SAFE Act registration preferred.* Bilingual - English/Spanish required**COMMUNITY IMPACT**Community involvement is part of who we are.
