We are seeking a results-driven Commercial Lender with a strong background in banking, commercial lending, and client relationship development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of self-sourced loan production, bringing an established book of business and the ability to originate $15–$20 million annually in commercial loans. This role is well-suited for entrepreneurial and self-motivated professionals who want to leverage a competitive compensation structure of 95–100 basis points on self-sourced deals and 50 basis points on internally generated leads. The focus will be on Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) lending, with loan sizes ranging from $1 million to $10 million and individual lending authority up to $20 million. Experience with FHA and VA loans is highly desirable.

Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and close new commercial loan opportunities through an established book of business.
• Originate $15–$20MM+ annually across CRE and C&I sectors.
• Source and manage your own pipeline of clients, while leveraging bank-generated leads.
• Structure, underwrite, and negotiate commercial loans that balance client needs with sound risk management.
• Conduct financial and credit analysis to assess borrower eligibility.
• Present proposals to credit committee and senior management for approval.
• Manage a loan portfolio, ensuring compliance, performance, and client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely loan processing.
• Maintain reporting on loan activity, performance, and risk exposure.
• Stay current on market conditions, competitive activity, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities.
• Contribute to portfolio growth strategies and risk mitigation planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial lending experience, with demonstrated ability to self-source and close $15–$20MM+ annually.
• Strong existing referral network and client relationships.
• Proven expertise in both CRE and C&I lending.
• Advanced financial statement and credit analysis skills.
• FHA and VA loan experience preferred.
• Comfort working with loan sizes between $1MM–$10MM and lending authority up to $20MM.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field required; MBA or certifications preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and commercial lending practices.
