Associate Director, Commercial Engines Aftermarket Operations Communications

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the communications point of contact and a key member of the leadership team supporting the CE SVP Operations.
  • Develop and lead an integrated communications plan and cross-functional team to support the aftermarket operations organization’s business objectives and employee engagement goals, as a key part of the Commercial Engines single aisle market priority.
  • Track progress on the plan and partner with cross‑COE colleagues on measurement.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with CE leadership to assess progress and course‑correct, as necessary.
  • Prepare and secure approval for communications deliverables, including talking points, key messages, prep packages, posts, featured content, speeches, news releases, holding statements, and presentations.
  • Prepare the CE SVP Operations and other business leaders for external speaking opportunities.
  • Partner with the Media Relations team to achieve a positive narrative in the media and leverage program news and milestones. Facilitate media interviews and ensure participants are prepared.
  • Prepare and secure approvals for media statements, Q&A, and talking points in partnership with the business leaders and Media Relations team.
  • Partner with the Brand team to develop and deliver compelling and impactful assets and experiences as part of the communications plan.
  • Partner with the Digital Communications team to design and deploy content which generates strong internal and external engagement.
  • Develop and manage relationships with communications counterparts at MRO network partners, as well as members of the media and third‑party influencers, to raise awareness and advocacy for Pratt & Whitney’s commercial engines aftermarket operations.
  • Plan, attend, and leverage industry MRO and other trade shows and events to deliver results in support of aftermarket operations business objectives, including media, social media, and customer/third‑party testimonials. Build and advance relationships with communications counterparts.
  • Partner with the Employee Communications team to build workforce engagement in support of aftermarket operations business goals and wider internal communications objectives, including townhall meetings, leader messages, and organizational announcements.
  • Coordinate with international communications colleagues to support the growth and reputation of the commercial engines global MRO network.
  • Manage crisis communications, in partnership with the Public Relations team, for the aftermarket operations business and support crisis communications for the wider commercial engines fleet.
  • Travel approximately 10% to domestic and international locations.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Public Relations or related field and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and minimum 10 years of experience.
  • Previous project management experience, utilizing organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Previous experience as a leader with strong interpersonal, influencing, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience executing written, oral, and e‑communications, especially in a virtual environment.
  • Experience delivering successful communications campaigns for global engineering or manufacturing organizations, preferably in aerospace or a related industry.
  • Experience with traditional and non‑traditional communication platforms, including print, electronic, social media, video, and industry events.
  • U.S. Person status as defined by U.S. law.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • MBA or MS in Business Management or Communications.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $157,200 USD – $298,800 USD.
