Account Manager – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

Staffmode is recruiting for a
direct hire Account Manager
position with one of our key clients in the energy sector. This role focuses on driving sales and building relationships for battery energy storage system (BESS) solutions. It’s an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional with direct BESS sales experience who is looking to advance their career in the rapidly growing energy storage market.
Key Responsibilities
Own and grow a portfolio of accounts by promoting battery energy storage systems and related energy solutions. Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, project developers, integrators, EPC contractors, and channel partners. Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and contribute to broader business development efforts. Prepare proposals, quotations, and commercial documentation while collaborating closely with internal technical and pricing teams. Manage sales opportunities from initial lead through contract award and post-sale support. Maintain accurate CRM records, provide timely pipeline updates, and contribute to sales forecasts. Work closely with engineering and operations teams to meet customer technical and commercial requirements. Support pricing negotiations, resolve commercial issues, and ensure smooth coordination throughout the sales process. Monitor customer needs and market trends to uncover additional growth opportunities. Participate in customer meetings, site visits, and industry events as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Energy, or a related field. Must have direct BESS sales experience
along with 3+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development in energy storage, renewables, power systems, or industrial markets. Strong communication and relationship management skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels. Proven ability to collaborate across commercial and technical teams. Highly organized with a proactive, results-driven sales approach. Genuine interest in the energy transition and advanced energy technologies. Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.
Desired Qualifications
Additional experience with distributed energy projects or utility-scale applications. Background in commercial or industrial-scale energy projects. Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales pipeline management tools. Strong potential to succeed in technical, solution-oriented sales.
