Senior Catastrophe Modeling Analyst (ACE American Insurance Company (Chubb)) (Philadelphia, PA): Evaluating complex sets of insurance exposure data across multiple accounts, making recommendations for the enhancement of the overall business portfolio; Working with internal and external stakeholders to identify business problems, as well as operationalizing these problems to perform analytics and modeling in support of identifying possible solutions; Making assumptions/recommendations based on analysis of missing/incomplete data; Performing quarterly portfolio marginal impact analysis for major business units within Chubb, analyzing primary key drivers of the losses, and identifying strategies to support business units; Preparing and presenting independent insight and commentary on modeling summary narratives and other deliverables; Performing allocation of reinsurance costs and providing analytics to help price reinsurance programs and evaluate the impact of the program; Using conclusions from data analysis to enhance internal knowledge of catastrophe risk (both exposure and loss) aggregations; and Developing and advocating for the implementation of process automation and efficiency improvement tactics based on current technical and industry trends. Must have experience with the following in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks: Experience with Moody’s (RiskLink and Risk Modeler), AIR Touchstone and KatRisk catastrophe models; Experience using SQL to manipulate large complex datasets; Experience with R; Experience with simulation platforms and methodology, including RMS’ Simulation Platform, MetaRisk, or Impact Forecasting; Experience with insurance and reinsurance concepts including: treaty contracts, policy terms, underwriting operations and product management, managing natural and manmade CAT risk, model evaluations and research. Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field and at least three (3) years of experience as a senior catastrophe modeling analyst or a related occupation. This position may offer limited hybrid flexibility, subject to company approval and in accordance with company policy.
