The Opportunity
Mount Saint Joseph Academy's Marketing and Communications Department operates within Advancement, supporting the full breadth of institutional priorities including admissions and enrollment, our $20 million Beyond Pearls Capital Campaign, fundraising initiatives, athletics, and academic programs.

We seek a Digital Communications & Media Manager OR Assistant Director to serve as our technical expert and creative storyteller across all digital platforms. (Candidates with 7+ years of relevant experience may be considered for Assistant Director level.)This role is ideal for a systems‑oriented professional who thrives at the intersection of technical expertise and creative content production—someone who can build efficient workflows while crafting compelling visual narratives.

What You’ll Do
Digital Platform Management & Technical Leadership

Serve as primary administrator and technical expert for Finalsite CMS

Manage website content, emails/eblasts, forms, and constituent database

Troubleshoot technical issues and provide CRM/CMS support to faculty and staff

Design and document efficient digital workflows and standard operating procedures

Social Media Strategy & Management

Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn

Manage Sprout Social platform for scheduling, analytics, and reporting

Create engaging, brand-consistent content that tells the Mount’s story

Guide and support departmental social media accounts

Track and report on social media metrics and ROI

Content Creation & Multimedia Production

Create and edit compelling photo and video content for all platforms

Provide graphic design support using Canva for social media, events, and programs

Coordinate and book professional photographers and videographers for school events

Maintain organized digital asset library

Produce multimedia content including reels, short‑form videos, and event coverage

Systems & Process Development

Build and maintain efficient workflows with rigorous tracking and accountability

Develop comprehensive tracking systems for content, requests, and projects

Proactively identify bottlenecks and implement solutions

Train team members on digital platforms and best practices

Strategic Communications Support

Support admissions with digital marketing, social media, and enrollment communications

Support advancement initiatives including our Beyond Pearls Capital Campaign

Create digital content for fundraising events, donor communications, and stewardship

Collaborate with athletics on student athlete content and coverage

Assist with Mount Weekly Update newsletter and Mount Magazine production

Analytics & Reporting

Track and analyze website traffic, social media engagement, and digital campaign performance

Provide regular reports with actionable insights

Use data to inform strategy and demonstrate ROI

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, Journalism, or related field

4-7 years of experience in digital communications or social media management (candidates with 7+ years of experience may be considered for Assistant Director level)

Portfolio showcasing photography, videography, and digital content creation

Strong technical proficiency with CMS platforms

Advanced social media management skills with demonstrated success

Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar), and photo editing tools

Systems-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational skills

Strong follow-through and accountability—a natural "finisher" who tracks details meticulously

Proactive communicator with excellent written communication skills

Passion for mission-driven education

Highly Valued:

Finalsite CMS experience (significant advantage)

Experience in educational settings (independent/private/Catholic schools)

Non‑profit experience

Adobe Creative Suite proficiency

CRM experience (Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or similar)

Google Analytics and social media analytics experience

Work Environment:
Beautiful 78-acre campus in Flourtown, PA (just outside Philadelphia, near Chestnut Hill)

Schedule:
Full-time, Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, occasional evening/weekend event coverage
