Description Hamilton Local School District is seeking an Intervention Specialist for our Student Learning Classroom (SLC) Unit at Hamilton Intermediate. The contract is for 185 days of contact, 7.5 hours per day, starting 8/10/2026 for the 2026-2027 school year.
Minimum Qualifications A valid K-12 or 4-6 Intervention Specialist Mild/Mod or Mod/Intense Teaching Certificate through the Ohio Department of Education.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Provide an educational program for students as defined in the students Individual Education Plan (I.E.P).
Develop and implement an Individualized Educational Program for each child, complimentary to their educational strengths and needs, as defined through the multifactored evaluation and I.E.P. process, and align with Regular Education Curriculum.
Complete necessary reports and record-keeping as required by state and local policies and procedures.
Work cooperatively with regular classroom teachers, interpreting the abilities and disabilities of these students, assisting in classroom intervention strategies, modifying general education curriculum as necessary, and assisting the student with regular class assignments.
Salary Commensurate with experience and in accordance with specified salary schedule.
