Director of Adult Education, Student Engagement & Evening Operations
Metropolitan Education District seeks an experienced and collaborative leader to serve as Director of Adult Education, Student Engagement & Evening Operations at Silicon Valley Adult Education (SVAE). This position is one of two co-equal Directors who jointly lead a high-performing Adult Education center serving Silicon Valley students.
This Director provides instructional leadership for their assigned programs and works collaboratively and coherently with their co-director. This Director's individual focus includes evening programs, campus safety coordination during evening operations, emergency response leadership, and supervision of California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKS).
Key Responsibilities Include:
Lead and support high-quality Adult Education program
Foster a collaborative, student-centered, and career-focused school culture
Supervise and develop certificated and classified staff
Build strong partnerships with industry, community, and higher education
Oversee systems for campus safety, operations, and compliance
Lead continuous improvement through data, program evaluation, and student outcomes
Work Year: 220 Days Location: San Jose, CA
Qualifications:
Valid California Administrative Services Credential
California Teaching Credential
Minimum 3 years of administrative/management experience
3 years of secondary teaching experience (CTE preferred)
