Job Description The Dallas, Texas office of Alston & Bird LLP is conducting a search for a Real Estate group paralegal with 3+ years of experience with a strong background in reviewing titles and survey documents. This paralegal will assist attorneys in all stages of real estate transactions, closings and with the preparation of documents necessary to comply with federal, state, and local regulations in the conduct of business activities.

Responsibilities

Draft initial versions ("first stabs") of real estate loan documents, ancillary agreements, and closing deliverables for attorney review.

Review and analyze title commitments, exception documents, and surveys; prepare title and survey summaries and work with title companies/surveyors to clear issues.

Coordinate, compile, and manage all due diligence materials, including organizational documents, insurance certificates, UCC searches, and third‑party reports.

Prepare closing checklists, track open items, and facilitate communication among attorneys, clients, lenders, title agents, and opposing counsel.

Manage all aspects of closing, including organizing signatures, finalizing document packages, and ensuring timely execution and delivery of all required materials.

Oversee post‑closing tasks such as recording documents, confirming title policy issuance, and organizing final closing binders.

Assist attorneys in the Real Estate practice group with research, document comparison (redlines), and various transactional support needs.

Maintain organized electronic files and ensure accuracy and completeness of transactional records throughout the lifecycle of each matter.

Education & Experience • Bachelor's degree required, Paralegal Certificate preferred

• 5+ years as a Real Estate Paralegal

Availability to work a minimum of four days per week in‑office, with flexibility for overtime as needed.
