
Pipeline Crewleader

Position Summary
Assists in assigning the daily tasks to the Facilities Services personnel. Checks on jobs in all Systems to assure accuracy and completion.
Job Responsibilities
Investigates reports of leaks and pipeline ruptures.
Supervises a group of nonexempt employees.
Acts as Maintenance Services Superintendent in his absence.
Supervises repair of water and sewer lines.
Purchases equipment parts and supplies.
Additional duties may be assigned as required.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience:
Required to obtain a Class C Water Distribution or a Class II Wastewater Collections Certification from TCEQ within 12 months of Hire/Promotion
Requires a Class "A" CDL.
Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must develop knowledge of the NTMWD water transmission and wastewater collection systems.
Must be able to effectively communicate in person, by telephone and/or by radio.
Must have the knowledge and ability to read and understand Right-of-Way and Easement Drawings.
Must be able to perform mathematical calculations, scale distances from plans, and measure distances on the ground.
Environmental and Physical Working Conditions
Work conditions vary from indoor to outdoor activities. Outdoor activities may involve exposure to hot, cold, dusty, dirty, and/or noisy conditions. Activities may require sitting, standing, walking, bending, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, carrying, dragging up to 75 pounds of equipment and/or inserting/withdrawing a probing rod into clay soil. Work may vary depending on information requests.
