Commercial Construction Estimator – Construction – Base Salary to 140k/year – Goldens Bridge, NY
AllSearch Recruiting is partnering with a growing construction GC to identify a Commercial Construction Estimator to join their Westchester-based team. The Commercial Construction Estimator will manage projects from bid through buyout and handoff to Project Management, playing a key role in securing and launching successful projects. This position is primarily office-based in Goldens Bridge, NY, with travel to local job sites as needed. Projects include commercial ground‑up and expansion projects including hospitals, schools, universities, and K‑12 facilities.
Responsibilities
Simultaneously manage 3+ projects in various stages of preconstruction
Manage the full bidding process from document review through proposal submission
Download, organize, and maintain version control of all bid documents
Perform detailed electronic quantity takeoffs using OnCenter
Prepare comprehensive cost estimates using Timberline Estimating
Analyze drawings and specifications to define scope and identify risk
Develop subcontractor/vendor bid lists and solicit competitive pricing
Track, level, and reconcile subcontractor quotes to ensure scope coverage
Participate in pre‑bid meetings, RFIs, and addenda management
Collaborate with internal teams on logistics, phasing, constructability, and scheduling
Prepare preliminary schedules and support strategic bid decisions
Submit complete and competitive proposals
Support post‑bid clarifications and negotiations to help secure awards
Conduct detailed scope reviews and negotiate final pricing with subcontractors
Prepare subcontract agreements and purchase orders
Maintain accurate buyout documentation
Transition awarded projects smoothly to the Project Management team
Qualifications
10+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
Experience with ground‑up and complex MEP‑heavy projects
Proficiency in OnCenter Takeoff and Timberline Estimating
Strong knowledge of construction documents and contract requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
Compensation
Base salary in the 120k – 140k/year range
