What you’re going to be doing:
Developingand executingcreativeand effectivecommunicationscampaigns –from using communications to affectpublic policy,planningand executing winning campaignsor simply tellingthepositive stories of our many amazing clients( see ourcase studiesfor examples )
Researching,developingand writingcommunications materialsincludingpress releases,statements,guest columns, blog content,print pieces(brochures, direct mail, etc.),video and radioscripts, speechesand more
Developingand implementingeffective paid and organicsocial mediastrategies
Pitchingto local, statewide,nationaland trademediaandserving as primary point-of-contact for media inquiriesfor clients
Organizingand executingpress conferences,tele-town halls,speaker panels, community meetings and other in-person and virtual events
Identifyingrapid responseand earned mediaopportunities bymonitoringrelevant news,trendsand policies
Workingwith firm partners to provide crisis communications support for clients
Coordinatingvendors(graphic design, video, photo, paid media, etc.), creating budgets and keeping track of invoices for projects
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’sdegree,preferably in communications,public relations,political science/theory,journalismor another related field.Don’thave one?It’snot a deal breaker. Just show us whatyou’vegot.
Multi-client public relations firm experience or five to 10 years ofdemonstratedexperience in communications, journalism, publicrelationsor public affairs.
Excellent writing,editingand storytelling skills with a demonstrated ability to translatecomplextopics into compelling narratives.
Proventrack recordin managingprojects as well as traditionaland digital communications.
Experience in guidingdiversecommunicationsis a plus.
All applicants willbe requiredtosubmitwriting samples as part of the application process.
Applicants selected for an interview will berequiredto complete a timed writing test.
