Your Mission, Roles And Responsibilities

Our Clean Mobility Division is looking for a Customer Product Engineer Director based in Auburn Hills - MI.

The Customer Product Engineer Director is responsible for driving and ensuring that technical and design solutions meet or exceed the customer and FCM objectives/targets. Maintains smooth relationships with customers, ensuring projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with FCM policies and objectives. Responsible for all Customer Relationships and QCD of all programs.

  • Manage Engineering relationship with all customers, ensure strong customer intimacy by being the high-level customer engineering contact with key individual(s) at the Customer
  • Engineering Voice of Customer, ensure customer voice within FCM for product engineering
  • Ensure all customer milestones are achieved on time and at customer expectations
  • Responsible for all internal milestones on time and that align with QCD expectations
  • Lead the customer-specific product strategy:
    • Align with the overall customer strategy
    • Ensure FCM quality design standards are aligned with customer quality standards
    • Responsible to communicate global customer best practices to FCM regions, support development and implementation of global customer product standards
  • Provide technical input to Division for:
    • Lead program acquisitions
    • Programs in development
    • Changes in serial life
  • Manage and coach Chief Engineer Product in daily activities and leading programs
  • Support IP, Warranty, and VAVE activities
