Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee mentorship structures for R2M Fellows.
- Establish mentor expectations, communication protocols, documentation processes, and feedback mechanisms.
- Monitor mentor‑Fellow relationships and coordinate mentor training (modules and/or synchronous sessions).
- Develop and refine program structures, timelines, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate mentorship activities, professional development seminars, leadership institutes, and study‑away experiences.
- Plan and facilitate monthly professional development seminars aligned with Fellows’ developmental stages.
- Ensure appropriate sequencing of program activities to support candidate engagement and minimize overload.
- Lead and support orientation for two cohorts of R2M fellows.
- Collect and analyze feedback from Fellows, mentors, principals, faculty, and partners to inform continuous improvement.
- Work with the project leadership team to support program implementation and ensure grant outcomes are met.
- Collaborate with the Office of Alternative Licensure to support recruitment, retention, and candidate success within the residency pathway.
- Continuously monitor program and secure funding availability.
Minimum Education/Experience
- Full‑time faculty member in the East Carolina University College of Education.
- Experience working with and supporting candidates in the Residency preparation pathway.
- Experience providing coaching, mentorship, or candidate support in educator preparation contexts and K‑12 settings.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
- Experience developing or facilitating mentorship or leadership development initiatives.
- Experience collaborating with school partners and institutional offices to support candidate success and retention.
- Experience with program evaluation, assessment, or continuous improvement processes.
- Knowledge of educator preparation program requirements, including familiarity with residency program structures and licensure expectations.
- Demonstrated organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
