
Sr. Director - Land Development

Position Overview
As a Sr. Director at LJA Land Development, you will be responsible for strategic planning, project design, quality assurance and problem resolution, as well as business development and client management. A Sr. Director must execute project design and management to meet company objectives, collaborate with senior management and assist in the development of systems and controls to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Typical Responsibilities
- Build relationships and grow business in the Land Development sector.
- Assist in the development of business by a marketing company to existing clients and identify and market to new clients.
- Meet with existing and potential clients in the development community for business development purposes.
- Attend functions outside of normal business hours to represent LJA at events, seminars and workshops.
- Lead and manage the execution of land development projects.
- Develop scope, budget, and schedule.
- Manage design team performance on assigned projects.
- Assist in the development of intermediate and long‑range plans for systems operation, maintenance, and expansion to ensure adequate services to customers.
- Review and recommend payment for damage claims against the company to ensure the company position is consistent and legally defensible.
- Review major work orders and approve and justify construction budgets and operations budgets.
- Prepare reports and advise senior management on a regular basis regarding the activities of the department.
Required Education / Licenses / Certifications
- Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer
Required Qualifications
- P.E. License
- 12+ years of managerial experience
- 12+ years of experience in Land Development engineering
- Proficiency in appropriate software for the market
- Excellent attention to detail and impeccable work ethic
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
