
Director of Skill Development/Video Coordinator

Position Summary
Provides support to the head and assistant coaches in all areas related to player skill development as well as administrative duties. Manages video-related activities for the University of Georgia's Women's Basketball Operations, including the coordination, management, and video analysis of practice and game clips for study, development and scouting purposes. Ensures compliance with NCAA, SEC, and institutional rules and regulations. Works independently and collaboratively to support the competitive success of the team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a student‑athlete, staff member or coach with a Division I intercollegiate basketball program.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret NCAA, SEC, and institutional rules and regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only a limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student athlete records and information.
- Ability to travel.
Responsibilities
Player Skill Development
- Encourage methods and techniques to help guide student‑athletes to utilize their full potential in overall development.
- Act as weight room liaison in coordination with the Women's Basketball Athletic Trainer to provide warm‑up motivation.
- Provide student‑athletes opportunities to work together and excel on and off the court.
- Participate in video production for promotional, recruitment, and motivational use.
- Produce and analyze video of practice and game clips for study, development, and scouting purposes.
- Edit and clip film as needed.
- Coordinate scout team and scout players.
Administrative & Basketball Gameday
- Manage game‑day logistics and game‑day board, including board images and folders.
- Gather and provide referee names.
- Assist with pre‑game warm‑ups and shooting.
- Break down practice and game‑day film; post‑game content.
- Assist with stats and charts in practice and games.
- Create Player of the Game/Medals, quotes, board updates, and oversee celebrity engagement.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and food while traveling.
Recruiting
- Participate in on‑campus and off‑campus recruiting activities as requested by the Head Coach.
- Organize and execute official and unofficial visits, coordinating transportation, van drop‑off/pick‑up, golf carts, and travel orders.
- Coordinate player profiles for official visits.
- Serve as Graduate Managers/Assistants liaison with the Director of Player Development.
- Ensure adherence to all SEC and NCAA policies and procedures.
- Assist in all other areas as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
Stand and walk; operate a computer; lift and/or move up to 20 pounds; travel and drive as needed to perform job duties.
