
Senior Vice President, Brand Strategy

Overview
The Strategy group at Razorfish Health is responsible for the development of insights-driven briefs, customer-centered marketing strategies and programs for RFH clients, employing all channels to build exceptional brand experiences across relevant touch points. The Strategy group owns the understanding of the target audience: what interests and motivates them, where they go for information, what their journey is, what drives their decision making, and how they react to communications. The Strategy group collaborates with Account Management, Creative, Medical Marketing members to ensure input on strategy development and are fully briefed on customer insights.
Responsibilities
The SVP, Director of Strategy must be able to:
- Direct qualitative and quantitative market research
- Synthesize insights from qual/quan research as well as other data sources
- Understand customer usage of media/channels
- Create briefs and provide input to program design as well as analytics
- Lead brand planning and other long-term planning efforts
- Contribute to new business pitches
- Support the development of the Strategy team, including creation of standard processes, agency education, coaching and mentoring early career strategists
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, anthropology/sociology or psychology (preferred)
- 10+ years of strategy experience in a management consultancy or agency setting
- Management consulting background preferred
- Experience healthcare marketing/planning desirable
- Desire to grow and expand skills beyond brand strategy or planning to UX, digital/engagement strategy, experience design, social media, and or analytics
- Significant experience in rheumatology and/or dermatology will be strongly preferred
Skills Requirements
- Exhibit a confident and forthright personality, as well as a history of proactivity in tackling difficult brand challenges
- Have deep expertise in portfolio strategy development, segmentation, launch scenario planning, and storyflow development
- Have experience leading the strategic process and defending strategic decisions for large, multi-indication brands or a portfolio of brands
- Have knowledge of strategic constructs, structures, and processes that can benefit marketing initiatives and agency teams
- Experience launching brands and driving campaign and creative strategy for large brands
- Demonstrate a strong grasp of the strategic challenges facing the immunology market
- Exceptional writing, communications, and presentation skills, both in developing the story architecture and delivering compelling presentations
- Ability to developing strong relationships with senior and C-suite marketing clients and agency team leads and be viewed as an indispensable resource internally and externally
Preferred Skills
- Demonstrated ability to think comprehensively and proactively about brand marketing strategy
- Experience in generating and strategically applying both qualitative and quantitative research
- Experience developing plans across all target audiences and all channels
- Experience writing briefs, facilitating briefings, and workshop development and facilitation
- Strong curiosity, ability to deal with ambiguity, work autonomously and in fast-paced environments
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with ability to work across agency and network teams
- Experience managing other strategists and growing strategists’ careers
- Ability to help clients and internal teams navigate complex strategic issues

Compensation Range: $180,215 - $299,637 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications, and experience, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible for certain benefits. For regular roles, medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off are offered.
