You'll be the person who brings the next generation of talent into the industry..
The Role
Producer-player-coach. You carry a personal book, sit on the floor with the team, and coach every producer on our roster. You're the operator who gets new producers from "signed the offer" to "validated and scaling" faster than they would anywhere else.
You'll run the daily rhythm: pipeline reviews, call coaching, roleplay, deal strategy. You close your own business alongside them, because the team has to see you do it.
What You'll Own
- Personal production. You set the bar for first 3 months. No production after 6 months, shift purely to coach.
- Coaching the floor. Call reviews, 1:1s, roleplay, deal strategy. Real coaching on a real cadence.
- Ramp and validation. The onboarding-to-validation path, and what "validated" means.
- Team leads. As we scale from 15 to 40, build the team-lead layer underneath you and hand off coaching capacity.
- Performance management. Call it early. No passengers.
- Product feedback. Sit with engineering and tell us what's slowing producers down.
Requirements
- 5+ years in commercial insurance sales with a provable production track record (premium placed, retention, close rates).
- Experience across multiple industries. You've quoted and closed across several verticals (construction, transportation, habitational, healthcare, professional services) and understand how coverage, carriers, and pricing differ across each.
- Demonstrated coaching track record. Producers you trained who went on to hit quota. Specific names, specific outcomes.
- Active P&C producer license or ready to test in Texas immediately.
- Systems thinker. Sales is a repeatable process, not an art form.
- Technology-forward. Comfortable with AI tools and modern CRMs. "Insurance has to be done the old way" is a disqualifier.
Nice to Have
CIC, CPCU, or progress toward either. Experience running a team inside a fast-growing independent brokerage.
Compensation
Competitive base plus personal production commission. Meaningful equity. Health, dental, vision. Exact mix is flexible: we can bias toward equity for someone who sees this as their company to build.
