Job Description – Crestwood United Methodist Church Production Director
Hours: Part time, 15 hours a week (Including 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Sunday mornings and 7:30 to 9:30 PM on Wednesday nights)
Compensation: $20-22/hr
Summary
The Production Director, under the supervision of the Director of Music Ministry and the Staff Parish Relations Committee, leads the volunteer‑based Production team. The team’s mission statement is as follows: to assist our worship leaders and pastors in leading the gathered church into the presence of God using modern tools and without distractions.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the production of Sunday morning services and oversee all production volunteers, based upon the vision given by pastors and worship leaders. The production director is of one mind with the pastors/worship leaders, studied and prepared on the order of service, and is focused on the execution of that order of service without distractions.
- Schedule and communicate with production volunteers using Planning Center Services.
- With guidance from music director, make technological preparations prior to or between rehearsals/services, assist pastors with mics, conduct sound checks, and return certain equipment to charge after services.
- In coordination with music director, lead twice‑yearly production team events for skill development, team building, and feedback/goals.
- Grow the production team using personal invitations and other strategies and train new volunteers.
Skills / Requirements
- A passion and high degree of focus for executing the program lined out by pastors
- A developed ear for music and an eye for compelling video presentations
- Humble and a team player, not ego‑driven
- Current skill on or a willingness to learn ProPresenter 7, Allen & Heath SQ audio consoles, Dante audio networking, Reaper audio software, OBS streaming software
