What We Do The Timeshare Escrow Officer establishes escrow accounts and processes transactions for vacation ownership properties. Responsibilities include handling customer inquiries, reviewing contracts, setting up accounts, creating title insurance policies, and preparing tax documents in a high-volume, streamlined environment.

What You'll Do

Establish and build professional relationships with customers and clients; act as a liaison for specific resorts/properties when required.

Address escalated customer service issues, coordinating dispute resolutions and acting neutrally.

Review contracts and purchase agreements to facilitate escrow closing, create and interpret amendments and cancellation instructions.

Follow the requirements of attorney or lender closing instructions.

Prepare closing documents on all transactions, including those with unique features or complications.

Perform quality checks on files and communicate discrepancies per divisional procedures.

Calculate title and escrow rates, including payoff and tax prorations based on transaction type and state regulations.

Verify receipt of deposit(s) and closing funds, balance file to ensure accurate accounting and disburse funds accordingly.

Prepare and distribute invoices for services and title insurance premiums.

Review and verify title search results, performing research to clear title and provide basic solutions.

Identify and elevate concerning matters to avoid fraud.

Perform required services associated with federal and state regulations based on transaction type (1099, FIRPTA, HAPTA, SDN, etc.).

Ensure appropriate follow‑up procedures are initiated per department milestones and agreements.

Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

High School diploma or equivalent.

Typically requires 3+ years related experience.

Escrow Officer certification or completion of escrow officer training program.

May require Notary licensing.

Strong customer service skills.

Knowledge of deeds, satisfactions, judgments, re‑conveyances, corporate and trust documents as relates to property.

Detail/quality‑oriented.

Problem‑solving skills.

Effective communication skills: verbal & written.

Proficient in MS Office.

Knowledge of company operating systems (e.g., FAST).

Ability to work under pressure, manage challenging customer interactions, and remain flexible to changing schedules and demands.

Thorough knowledge of escrow and title requirements based on transaction type, state regulations (e.g., documentation signings, rates, recordings, balanced files, FIRPTA, 1099, HARPTO, Franchise Tax).

Ability to manage high volume of files.

Pay Range $23.37 – $31.14 hourly (Base pay range for this position at time of posting; may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements, and geographic location).
